The New York Project has entered its final phase of a 10-year strategy.

We thank God for his faithfulness and the community of champions who have journeyed with us to advance the church planting movement.

Theory of Change

We believe the local church, fueled by the Holy Spirit, transforms lives and cities.

Join us to grow the church planting movement in our city.

Previously led by Tim Keller, the New York Project is fueled through a collaborative partnership between City to City NYC and Redeemer Churches & Ministries.

Our goal is to help plant 250+ new churches across all of New York City, and through this, triple the body of believers in center-city Manhattan to a tipping point of 15% by 2026.

We at City to City NYC do this by raising up the next generation of movement leaders to plant gospel-centered churches. Our vision and dream is to see more New Yorkers come to faith and for that faith to overflow in all areas of life, resulting in a renewed city for all.

A New Home

We are currently in the construction phase of a building in the Upper East Side that will serve both as the home for the Redeemer East Side congregation and the NY Project Leadership Development Center.

This enables Redeemer’s congregation to be more rooted in the community while providing a hospitable training center for City to City. We know the building will have generational impacts for both institutions in the gospel movement. Construction will take approximately 18 to 20 months and we are slated to move into the building in the Fall of 2024.

In loving memory of our dear friend,
Timothy J. Keller
Sept 23, 1950 - May 19, 2023

Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce. Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease. But seek the peace and prosperity of the city... and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.

Jeremiah 29:5—7
