As we enter our final phase of the New York Project, help us finish strong.
We’re humbled to have reached this point in our audacious 10-year strategy. Though we know the missional work in New York City will need to continue (until Christ’s return), Phase three of the New York Project is three years with its completion in the summer of 2026.
The pandemic threw us for a loop but we experienced God surprise us and sanctify us through the intensity. We are eager to continue this great work of spurring on the church planting movement in New York and see a movement of renewal sweep our city.
New York needs more churches that elevate Jesus and the gospel over denominational tribalism.
We need more churches to pursue ways to collaborate with other churches and ministries to cultivate whole ecosystems of Christianity all over the city. We need churches that seek the good of their neighborhood so that if they were to not exist, the community would feel a deficit of peace and joy. We need churches that are inviting and welcoming to skeptics and those of other faiths without watering down theology.
New York needs more seasoned leaders leading healthy missional churches that equip believers to share the message of Jesus and care for the city.
We need leaders who lead churches that equip believers to live intensely missional lives that align with Jesus and share the message of the gospel with their neighbors and friends. We need leaders integrated in a trans-denominational community on mission for the gospel movement in our city. We need movement leaders who produce more movement leaders.
What we really need is revival
We can’t control the mysterious move of the Spirit but we will continue to hope and pray for it.
In the meantime, what we know is that in Phase 3, we will be opening a brand new building in the Upper East Side. The much anticipated home for Redeemer East Side and the NY Project Leadership Development Center will be move-in ready in the fall of 2024! Both institutions have long needed a physical home and the kingdom impact of the building will be experienced for generations to come.

Continue serving in our expertise - the recruiting and training of church planters - while also focusing on empowering network leaders so they can scale their efforts and cover more ground across the city.
Financial Reserve for beyond Phase 3 of the NY Project:

Until Christ comes back the work in NY will continue. The financial reserve will enable the training team at CTC to carry on the mission for a couple years beyond the New York Project timeline.
We’re hoping those additional years will help us catch up for the set back we experienced with COVID in Phase 2.
